BOOKS

During the second year of my graphic design degree I was introduced to the world of bookmaking and bookworks. It took me a little while to get my head round some of the techniques and what is possible, but once I cracked it there was no stopping me. I'm hooked on books.

I love putting together little notebooks or making random books out of waste images of the cast-offs from the uni photocopier. It's saved me buying sketchbooks if nothing else.

This is one of the books I made in my second year. It's an experimental book of images. Each image was made in under 60 minutes and there are 50 images in total. Its digitally printed but I cut and bound it.

I will post some more of my books soon.

DOODLING MY LIFE AWAY

These are some little marks I made while waiting for various things, girlfriend, uni, lifts etc.
Time waits for no man but I'll wait for anybody...

I like drawing all the wires that trail from telegraph poles, I like it when they are tangled up.

A bottle of water I was drinking plus some notes about my uni project.

My bag and some magazines on a table at uni and a corner of the room we were in.

Norwich Cathedral seen through some random tropical looking plants, Norwich has a very nice Cathedral with some interesting history. The body of William of Norwich lays here, he was the most famous victim of Jewish ritual murders in 1144.

SELF LOATHING

This is a little design I knocked out for my friend Tom's band.

It was nice to do some more drawing after a long break.
If anyone is reading this and is after some artwork please get in touch. I am looking for new work all the time so get at me...

Cheer up mate...

Isn't it strange how people always say 'cheer up' when you generally have nothing to be cheerful about, sure, things could be worse, but thats another pointless statement, when do things stop getting worse? If you want someone to cheer up, do something nice for them, don't patronise them with hollow sentiments.

The Devil

"If you ask me, the devil makes more sense than God does. I can see why people would want him around. It's good to have somebody to blame for all the bad stuff they do."

WORLD DISORDER

The world seems like a very strange place to me these days...
